Svetlana Cameron included in Top 40 list of international pastel artists by the French publisher Pratique des Arts and featured in the new book "40 maîtres du PASTEL".
The Society of Graphic Fine Art is the only National Society in the UK dedicated exclusively to drawing. Founded in 1919, the Society promotes fine drawing skills in both traditional and contemporary media. Today it has more than 130 elected members across Britain.
The prestigious international Art Renewal Centre (USA) has awarded Svetlana Cameron the status of ‘Associate Living Master’ and included her works in the ARC Museum.

'Portrait of Richard Sowler' by Svetlana Cameron has been successful in the 12th International ARC Salon, one of the most prestigious international competitions for figurative painters held annually in the USA. The successful artwork stood out from nearly 3000 entries submitted by artists from more than 60 countires around the world and became a Finalist in the 'Portraiture' category.

SVETLANA SPEAKS AT SOCIETE GENERALE
PRIVATE BANKING HAMBROS EVENT IN LONDON
On 3 November Svetlana exhibited and delivered a talk at an exclusive client reception hosted by Societe Generale Private Banking Hambros, the wealth management arm of the French bank Societe Generale.
The event took place at the company headquarters at St. James's Square, London.
A representative of art advisory firm '1852 Limited' delivered an educational talk on investment in art and other 'assets of passion'. Svetlana was invited to speak about her award-winning portrait painting and drawing techniques.
A solo exhibition of classical portraits by Svetlana Cameron took place between 14 and 31 October at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Kensington, London.
The show featured 30 portraits borrowed from public and private collections, and provided a unique opportunity to view the largest number of Svetlana’s oil and pastel portraits ever gathered together in London.
The exhibition Private View was attended by many distinguished guests, including senior politicians, foregn diplomats and representatives of the Russian and British business elite. President of Isle of Man Parliament, Steve Rodan addressed gusts at the opening event and thanked Svetlana for introducing the island's culture to a wider audience.

On Tuesday 28 June the exhibition "Laa Tinvaal" opened with an unveiling event when portrait of Clare Christian OBE, President of Isle of Man Parliament went on public display for the first time.
Set in the Church of St. John in the context of Tynwald Day celebrations, the portrait has a narrative element: it depicts President during the Captioning Ceremony when she uses a quill pen to sign certificates documenting the promulgation of the laws. The painting also features all the key symbols of the Isle of Man: the Viking longboat, the cushag flower, the Three Legs of Man, the Raven and the emblem of Isle of Man Parliament. The Archiblad Knox inkwell in the foreground also hints at Manx connection.
The unveiling was attended by President The Hon Clare Christian OBE, Speaker Hon Steve Rodan, and Members of the House of Keys and Legislative Council.

Portrait 'Manx Folk Dancer' reached Top 10 in the International Artist magazine competition 'People & Figures'.
The successful artwork was featured in the December-January 2016 issue of the International Artist magazine.
International law firm Taylor Wessing invited Svetlana to be a Guest Speaker at an exclusive reception where experts were discussing buying and owning assets of passion, including art and real estate. The event took place on 26 April at the Taylor Wessing office in London.
Svetlana has become a member of the Expert Jury of the European Art Week project for the 2016 season.
The invitation to join the panel of international art professionals came after Svetlana's successful performance at the Russian Art Week in London in June 2015, where her works 'Katya' and 'Father Brian' won 1st and 3rd places in the Portrait Drawing and Portrait Painting categories respectively.
FOR YOUNG ARTISTS
The workshop for teenagers aged 14 to 19, took place on 23 January at the Youth Arts Centre, in Douglas. The students had an introduction to the sight-size method and Bargue drawing, followed by a life session with a model.
